Previous Initiatives & Events

April 25, 2026 Mayors Prayer Breakfast

The Prince George Civic Prayer Breakfast is an annual gathering for our Mayor and other city leaders, believers, and members of our community to come together in the Spirit of Jesus Christ in order to foster greater unity and provide space to encourage and pray for those who lead our city.

In addition to a delicious breakfast, we will be hearing from a guest speaker, have opportunity to fellowship with and pray for the leaders of our city, and be inspired by testimonies of lives being changed. Our desire is that this time will provide space for the building of relationship and also the blessing of our city. Join us!

2025 Federal Election Prayer Strategy

In the lead-up to Canada's 2025 federal election, Prince George Peacemakers launched a non-partisan prayer initiative. We met at "Proclamation Point" at 5:00 pm sharp for prayer every day during the election period.

The Election Prayers Program was more than a devotional or a countdown to the polls—it was a strategic call to align hearts with Heaven, to quiet the chaos of political noise, and to invite a deeper, collective dependence on God. Over four weeks, through daily prayers rooted in Scripture, we were not just preparing for an election—we were cultivating a posture of prayer, humility, and trust in the One who reigns above it all.

1. Ground Our Mission in Prayer and Unity

Before strategy, comes spiritual authority. Let’s build a core prayer team that intercedes daily for Canada, its leaders, the media, and the hearts of Canadians. This is our spiritual fuel. Even in small groups, meeting consistently can release massive power.

  • Hold weekly or monthly prayer calls or gatherings (online and offline).
  • Partner with churches across provinces to form a Prayer Chain for Canada.

2. Use Media — But Do It Differently

Mainstream media is compromised, and Google favors certain narratives. So don’t play their game - let's build our own channels and/or join existing channels for now and win hearts through authenticity and hope.

  • Launch a podcast or YouTube series focused on real stories of faith, transformation, and truth in Canada.
  • Micro-content strategy: Create short, shareable video clips with prayer, positive messages, or scripture.
  • Emphasize hope, light, and truth - don’t get trapped in fear messaging.
  • Use Telegram, Rumble, and email newsletters to bypass algorithmic suppression.

3. Focus on Jesus, Not Just the Battle

Rather than fighting darkness directly, illuminate the truth of who Christ is - in a way that resonates with Canadians of all backgrounds.

  • Share stories of healing, peace, and transformation - show how Jesus changes lives.
  • Make your message inclusive, not divisive - “We’re not here to divide Canadians, we’re here to heal Canada through Christ.”
  • Use relatable Canadian imagery and humor. Make it feel like our movement, not imported from somewhere else.

4. Empower the Grassroots

We don't need to go viral. We need to go local and relational.

  • Let’s create and offer free “Light Up Canada” prayer kits that include window signs, devotionals, stickers, etc.
  • Create a street-level volunteer movement: 1 person = 1 block of prayer and service.
  • Train local ambassadors to start prayer walks, small prayer groups, and outreach.

5. Encourage Civic Engagement Without Partisan Politics

Instead of “vote this way,” shift to biblical values and discernment:

  • Let’s create a “Pray Before You Vote” guide, urging believers to seek wisdom and truth.
  • Host forums with pastors, thought leaders, and even politicians willing to talk about faith in leadership.
  • Avoid slandering candidates - promote light over division, wisdom over fear.

6. Disciple Through Relationship, Not Just Content

Misinformation thrives in isolation. Relationship breaks strongholds.

  • Use social platforms to start small virtual groups, Zoom Bible studies, or spiritual check-ins.
  • Encourage our followers to be active in their communities, to serve, pray, and love loudly.

7. Be Bold, But Stay Rooted

It’s a battle between good and evil. But remember: We’re not alone, and God already wins. Our job is to stand firm, speak truth in love, and carry hope.

“Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good.” — Romans 12:21
